2025 AWRA SPRING CONFERENCE - Alaska Section AWRA sponsored : 2 day Chena Hot Springs & Alaska Railroad Field Trip

The AWRA Alaska Section is offering this 2-day field trip for attendees of the AWRA Spring Specialty Conference in Anchorage. The trip will start early Saturday morning, April 26^th in Anchorage, and will end evening of April 27^th in Anchorage.

 The cost includes:

• Transport by Marriot hotel shuttle from Marriott Hotel Anchorage to Alaska Railroad Depot at 7-7:30 am, Saturday, April 26^th.
• Alaska Railroad Transportation, Anchorage to Fairbanks (11.5 hours trip) on the Aurora Winter Train. • Transport by Chena Hot Springs shuttle to Fairbanks International Airport, early afternoon April 27^th.
• Marriott hotel shuttle from Anchorage Airport to the hotel, evening of April 27^th.

The cost does not include:

• Dining on the Alaska Railroad or at Chena Hot Springs Resort
• Additional activities at Chena Hot Springs Resort (winter ice museum, visit to Iditarod dog kennels, etc.).
• The airfare Fairbanks to Anchorage (flights are currently at ~$100 per person for April 27). There are two afternoon flights and one evening flight each day (on Alaska Airlines) from Fairbanks to Anchorage.

All participants on this trip are encouraged to buy their own travel insurance covering injuries resulting with any part of this trip, trip interruptions, sickness, etc.

We reserve the right to cancel this trip due to insufficient number of people signed up, or sudden changes in the Alaska Railroad train schedule and/or Chena Hot Springs Resort vacancies.
